Plot Center If you've got an idea for a sub-plot that you want to bring to fruition, are looking for a friend or love interest for your character, or simply want to request threads with people, then this is the place to do it. Please note that this is not the place to post 'relationship charts' - we don't have those here!
Chatter Box Unless you're one of the less bright crayons in the box, you will have already realised that this is the Out Of Character area for random conversations, games, introductions, rants, and anything else you might want to post - so stop making the place look untidy, and go chat!
The Ear Jar The name of this board is a (highly obscure) reference to the almighty Vincent Van Gogh - so I'm guessing you know what it's for? Everything artistic belongs in this board, such as art-related requests, critiques, member-owned studios, and discussions about the latest art software.
Central Hall A giant, circular room, the Central Hall is designed to hold all of the Dragonkeep's inhabitants during formal dinners and events. A round, mahogany table takes the place of honour in the Hall, large enough that there is room for over two hundred people and dragons to sit at the table and dine. The cold stone walls are decorated with flaming sconces and ancient maps of England - but other than this, it is rather plain in appearance, and comes alive only when it is filled with people.

Global Lounge One of the most commonly-used rooms in the Dragonkeep, the Global Lounge is open to all human inhabitants of the 'Keep to meet with others, chat, and just generally relax. A large, rectangular room, the walls are bare stone, but the warm blue lights and abstract paintings positioned here and there add warmth to the room. Comfy sofas are squashed against the walls, and a flat-screen television is provided on the northern wall. A mini-bar may also be found in the Lounge, but only those above the age of eighteen are able to use it.

Rider Tower The Rider Tower is located a short walk away from the rest of the Dragonkeep’s buildings, and while it is comfortable enough, it lacks the luxury of some of the other buildings. Like the Hunter Tower, it consists of six floors, each with plain white plastered walls – on the inside and outside, rather like a villa. The floor is covered with small terracotta tiles that become scorching hot in the summer, but icy cold in the winter, and the entire building is heated only by small fireplaces on each floor. There is room for one hundred Riders in the Rider Tower, and while it is no five-star hotel, the simple accommodation is pleasant enough.

Hunter Tower The Hunter Tower is situated directly opposite the Dragonhold Tower, and is unarguably far more elaborate in design and decoration than the Rider Tower. It consists of six floors, each with warm pink-grey stone walls, grey flagstone floors heated from beneath, and giant windows offering panoramic views of the forest surrounding the Dragonkeep. It looks like a tower from a fairytale, complete with ivy climbing slowly up its exterior walls. Inside, the Tower can hold up to eighty Hunters on the lower five floors, and ten Red Hunters on the sixth floor - which, naturally, is reserved just for them.

Kitchens A great, cavernous room hidden below ground, the Kitchens are operated entirely by Riders and Hunters - if somebody wants food, they have to cook it themselves - unless there is a formal occasion, of course. The room is lit by warm yellow lights hanging from the ceilings, and although the walls are bare, the room itself is packed full of ovens, stoves, cupboards, and cooking utensils. One of the warmest and most welcoming rooms in the Dragonkeep, the Kitchens are always busy and filled with life.

Bathing Pools The Bathing Pools in the Dragonkeep are pleasant to say the least. The rough, cream stone floor is heated from beneath by pipes of hot water, and each pool itself is enclosed in a mahogany-panelled cubicle. The circular pools are sunken into the ground, and filled with steaming salt water from the same pipes that heat the floor. Although the cubicles are sparsely decorated - only a single mirror and a shelf of various bath products can be found on the wall of each room - they seem magnificently luxurious, and so are often packed with Riders and Hunters alike, all jostling to enter one of the twenty pools.

DRAGONHOLD
Red Dragonhold The Red Dragonhold is practically a work of art, so beautiful it appears. The Hold itself is essentially a large, circular room at the top of the Dragonhold Tower, with white marble floors, and polished grey stone walls. Twelve circular nests are built into the floor, each padded with fine emerald green cushions, and a large archway in the wall allows the Royal dragons to come and go as they wish. During the winter months, the walls are heated with hot water-filled pipes - only the best for the Red dragons, of course.

Central Dragonhold The Central Dragonhold takes up four floors, ensuring that there is enough room for any dragons wishing to rest inside. Although it lacks the grandeur of the Red Dragonhold - the walls are painted a faded white, and the floor is grey flagstone, not marble - but it is undeniably comfortable. In the center of each floor is a large, circular fireplace which is lit during the colder months, and keeps the entire room warm. Built into the floor around these are twenty nests, padded with soft brown blankets, and an archway built into the wall of each room allows the dragons to leave the tower as they wish.

Youngling Dragonhold The Youngling Dragonhold takes up the first floor of the Dragonhold Tower, as hatchling dragons are considered too weak to fly to the higher levels. The rough floor is covered with warm honey-coloured tiles, and the walls are painted a pale shade of yellow: suitably comfortable and welcoming for the young dragons. Twenty-five nests are built in a circle in the floor, each filled with silky yellow blankets, around the giant central fireplace, which – when stacked with branches and sweet-smelling fruit – not only heats the entire room, but emits a delightful, sugary scent.

Hatchery The Hatchery is found in the basement of the Dragonhold Tower, and is undoubtedly the warmest room in the entire Dragonkeep. The entire room is a boring, clinical shade of pale turquoise, but the forty circular alcoves built into the wall are much more interesting. Usually, at least half of the alcoves are filled with large, glistening dragon eggs, each waiting for the day that they will be hatched and placed with a human. Because of the precious eggs contained in the Hatchery, it is off-limits to all but the Hunters, and of course those accompanied by Hunters – so, naturally, it is the goal of many of the younger inhabitants of the Dragonkeep to sneak inside.

THE GROUNDS
Demonhold Although the majority of demons caught by Hunters are killed, it is occasionally necessary for them to be brought to the Dragonkeep, perhaps for research, education, or as training tools for Riders. The Demonkeep is where demons are held in circumstances such as these. It is a large, rectangular room with no windows, and a single door that it so well-protected that even a tank would probably not damage it. Rows of cages made entirely of silver (one of the few materials that can hold demons) line the walls, and it is these that attract the attention of many young Riders.

The Barn The Barn is a large, comfortable outbuilding some distance from the main Dragonkeep. Although the roof leaks during heavy rainfall, and the building itself is filled only with bales of hay, dust, and mice, it is pleasant enough for impromptu meetings, or as a place for people to escape from the hustle and bustle of life as a Rider or Hunter. The Barn is occasionally used as a teaching area for young hatchling dragons - hay is a rather comfortable material to make a crash-landing on - but other than that, it has no official purpose.

The Loft One of the most secretive places in the entire Dragonkeep, the Loft is the upper floor of the barn, accessible only by a rope ladder that is tucked into a crevice in the wood. The floor is panelled with old wood, and a layer of hay and dust covers everything - but it is surprisingly warm, and the perfect place to go for some quiet time alone, or a private, unofficial meeting. The Loft is lit entirely by gas lamps - and so anyone wishing to visit it by night must remember to bring matches, unless they wish to stumble around in the dark.

Sparring Pit The Sparring Pit is a circular enclosure, approximately 25m in diameter, that has been sunken into the ground, and filled with red-brown sand. Inhabitants of the Dragonkeep may come here to spar with each other, be it with weapons, dragons, or just their own bodies. All fighters must use blunt weapons provided by the Keep, as major injuries and deaths must be prevented at all costs, but there are many who break this rule - and get away with it, too. The Pit is not overseen by any senior inhabitants of the Keep - and so fighters enter at their own risk.

OUTSIDE
Eastern Woodlands To the east of the Dragonkeep lies over 300 acres of dense woodland, rich with both plantlife and wildlife. A river weaves through the forest, dividing it into two, and it is only here that the signs of human interference are visible, in the form of several small wooden bridges dotted along the length of the river. Demons are much less common here than in the city, and so it is widely regarded as one of the more peaceful places in the area, although a flight of wild dragons are said to live amongst the trees - making it rare for a mundane to travel far into the woodland.

The City An obscure city located in the North of England - most probably York, though every city looks the same nowadays - the urban area is crowded by buildings and frequently populated by demons as well as mundanes. Demon hunters often scout from above to seek and draw out demons, but due to the close proximity of the buildings, dragons are unable to land and so demon hunters are usually expected to deal with metropolis demon occurences on their own.

City Outskirts Less crowded than the city itself, the outskirts are what some might call suburbs. As rife as they are with mundanes and demons, the outskirts are often teeming with both hunter and dragon alike, as the sparse design of the suburbs means that there's room for dragons to manipulate themselves around the houses and land. The houses range from semi-detached to detached, and gardens are of medium size; when demons and hunters aren't clashing, the outskirts can be quite a peaceful place to be.
